For Public bodies in the Province of British Columbia
The following link will take you to an Adobe Acrobat Request for Access to Records form that can be filled out online. This form may be used to request government records unrelated to you. Unfortunately, once completed, the form cannot be saved to your computer but you can print it off using your browser's or Adobe Reader's print button. It is useful to complete the form online and when you are satisfied, print off two copies - one for you to keep and one to send to the public body. You can also just print the form and fill it out manually. After you are finished with the form and you wish to return to this or a previous page, just use your browser's back button after you have closed out of the Adobe Reader, if it was launched on your system.
For Government of Canada Federal Institutions
The Access to Information Act gives Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or any person or corporation present in Canada a right to access information that is contained in government records. The Act is intended to complement existing procedures for access to government information.
